Product Engineer

We are hiring: AI Product Engineer
At TheragenX, we are building AI products for life sciences from the ground up. We operate without siloed roles—no separate QA, DevOps, or script-runners. Every engineer owns features from concept to production.
Most of our codebase is generated and accelerated by AI coding agents. Because of this, we need engineers with rock-solid software foundations who understand raw code deeply, rather than framework-dependent developers who rely entirely on IDE shortcuts or auto-complete.
If an AI writes buggy Java logic, you must be able to spot it, debug it, refactor it, compile it via the command line, and ship it.
Core Responsibilities
Master Java OOP. Design modular, scalable object-oriented software architectures.
Command the terminal. Navigate Linux/macOS, compile (javac), run, and manage environments via CLI.
Direct AI agents. Leverage Claude Code, Codex, and agent frameworks to scaffold production features fast.
Audit AI output. Deeply inspect, refactor, and harden machine-generated code before release.
Automate test suites. Write reliable integration and end-to-end test pipelines.
Own production delivery. Handle deployments, monitor performance, and triage live incidents end-to-end.
What We Are Looking For
Strong Java fundamentals: Deep grasp of classes, inheritance, polymorphism, design patterns, and runtime mechanics.
Fluent in the CLI: You don't hide behind graphical IDE buttons. You know how to build, run, inspect processes, and troubleshoot directly from the terminal.
AI-native workflow: Daily user of LLM coding tools who moves faster while taking 100% accountability for code quality and correctness.
Full lifecycle mindset: Comfortable jumping between backend logic, API contracts, automated testing, and cloud infrastructure.
