ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing technology company building advanced AI-powered infrastructure and products for enterprise customers.
We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer with YC start up experience who can work directly with customers to solve complex technical problems, translate real-world requirements into production systems, and accelerate the adoption of the company's technology.
This is a highly technical, customer-facing engineering role combining software development, systems thinking, product feedback, and hands-on implementation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and operational challenges.
- Build, deploy, and customize production solutions in customer environments.
- Develop integrations, automation, APIs, and internal tooling.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product and engineering requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across application and infrastructure layers.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to improve platform capabilities.
- Own projects from technical discovery through deployment and iteration.
- Develop reusable solutions that can scale across multiple customers.
- Improve deployment processes, documentation, observability, and reliability.
- Act as a technical advisor and trusted engineering partner to customers.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong programming experience in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience building and deploying production software.
- Strong systems, API, integration, and debugging skills.
- Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills.
- High ownership and ability to independently drive projects.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with AI/ML systems or infrastructure.
- Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure experience.
- Experience at a startup or scale-up.
- Experience deploying software into complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with LLMs, model serving, or AI agents.
- Experience building developer tooling or automation.
