Compensation: Equity-Based Partnership - No Fixed Salary
We’re an early-stage startup looking for founding team members to join us at the ground level and help build the company from the beginning.
This is an equity-based partnership, with no fixed salary.
We’re looking for people who want to take meaningful ownership, shape the company’s direction, and grow alongside the business.
Gilgamesh is an operator-led go-to-market lab based in Bangalore. We build demand systems for B2B companies, and we are now building a bridge between industry and campuses: partnerships, programs, and events that put companies and colleges in the same room with a reason to stay there. This role is the person both sides call.
The role in one line
You are the medium between companies and colleges. You open doors at companies, hold relationships with college leadership, and turn conversations into signed partnerships, running programs, and press-worthy moments.
What you will do
- Build and maintain a live map of target companies and colleges: who decides, who influences, what each side actually wants from the other.
- Open and hold corporate relationships: talent and HR heads, L&D leads, founders. Pitch partnership formats such as campus programs, hiring pipelines, sponsorships, and guest sessions, and carry them to signature.
- Own college relationships: placement officers, deans, faculty coordinators, student bodies. - Navigate MoUs, approvals, and academic calendars without losing momentum.
- Design and run the partnership calendar: events, drives, talks, competitions. Logistics end to end with our team, from first email to post-event follow-up.
- Handle the PR side: draft and place announcements, press notes, and LinkedIn stories for every partnership; manage media relations around launches; work with our content engine so every public asset passes our claims check before it ships.
- Keep the CRM honest. Every conversation, commitment, and follow-up logged, with a weekly pipeline of partnerships by stage.
- Report weekly, one page: outreach, meetings held, partnerships signed, events delivered, coverage earned, and what needs a decision.
Who fits
- 7 to 8 years in corporate relations, partnerships, PR and communications, campus relations, or B2B business development. Placement-cell, training-and-placement, or edtech partnership experience is a strong plus.
- An existing warm network on at least one side, companies or colleges, and the drive to build the other from scratch.
- Fluent written and spoken English. [Kannada, Hindi, or Telugu a plus.]
- Comfortable in a dean's office and a founder's WhatsApp thread in the same week.
- Organised to a fault: CRM discipline, follow-up, documentation.
- Comfortable drafting with AI tools under a human review gate, and honest about what needs checking.
What success looks like
30 days: relationship map built, first 20 conversations held, CRM live and clean.
60 days: Partnerships signed, first program or event scheduled, first press or LinkedIn placement earned.
90 days: a repeatable monthly cadence of partnerships, events, and coverage, with a pipeline you can forecast and a playbook someone else could follow.
