Senior Executive / Manager – Golf Events

Job Overview
GRPL Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior Executive / Manager – Golf Events with a strong background in sports event management. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing sports events while contributing to revenue generation, sponsorships, vendor management, and overall event profitability.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing sports events, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to independently drive events from planning to execution.
Key Responsibilities
1 Golf Event Planning & Execution
Plan and execute golf tournaments, leagues, corporate golf events, and other golf-related experiences.
Manage events end-to-end, from initial planning to final execution and closure.
Coordinate with golf courses and clubs for venue bookings, tee times, player requirements, and event arrangements.
Prepare detailed event timelines, checklists, and execution plans.
Ensure smooth on-ground execution and timely resolution of operational challenges.
Coordinate tournament-day activities and ensure all event deliverables are completed as planned.
2 Golf Course & Vendor Management
Coordinate with golf courses, clubs, vendors, agencies, and service providers.
Manage requirements related to hospitality, branding, merchandise, trophies, prizes, signage, photography, transportation, and other event requirements.
Negotiate with vendors and service providers to achieve cost-effective solutions.
Monitor vendor deliverables and ensure quality and timelines are maintained.
3 Player & Participant Management
Coordinate player registrations, confirmations, and event-related communication.
Manage participant requirements before and during the event.
Coordinate tee-time schedules, player lists, tournament formats, and on-ground arrangements.
Ensure a smooth and professional experience for golfers and guests.
4 Sponsorship & Partnerships
Identify and coordinate with potential sponsors and brand partners for golf events.
Support the preparation of sponsorship proposals, presentations, and event partnership packages.
Coordinate sponsor requirements and ensure agreed brand deliverables are executed.
Maintain strong relationships with sponsors, partners, golf clubs, and other stakeholders.
Explore opportunities to generate additional revenue through event partnerships and sponsorships.
5 Budget & Cost Management
Prepare and monitor event budgets in coordination with the management team.
Track event expenses against approved budgets.
Coordinate vendor negotiations and ensure cost efficiency.
Maintain proper records of event-related expenses and commercial commitments.
Support the team in achieving event revenue and profitability targets.
6 Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as a key point of contact for clients, sponsors, golf courses, partners, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
Understand client and sponsor requirements and ensure timely execution.
Maintain strong professional relationships to encourage repeat business and partnerships.
7 Team & On-Ground Coordination
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, volunteers, and event staff during event execution.
Assign responsibilities and monitor completion of event-related tasks.
Guide junior team members and on-ground staff as required.
Take ownership of operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
8 Event Experience & Brand Engagement
Contribute ideas for innovative golf event formats and participant experiences.
Ensure consistent brand visibility and sponsor integration across events.
Monitor participant and client feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare post-event reports covering key outcomes, feedback, expenses, and learnings.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in sports event management.
Strong understanding of end-to-end event planning and execution.
Experience in managing sports tournaments, leagues, corporate sports events, or similar events.
Strong vendor, client, and stakeholder management skills.
Good communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities.
Ability to manage multiple events/tasks simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and on-ground execution skills.
Basic understanding of event budgeting, costing, and revenue generation.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends, depending on event requirements.
Strong ownership and ability to work independently.
