Role Description
The Java Architect (with BPM/ Camunda Expertise) role is a full-time, hybrid position with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role involves designing and overseeing scalable, secure, and high-performing Java-based architectures, including microservices and workflow solutions using Camunda.
The Java Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs, define integration patterns, and guide development standards and best practices.
Daily responsibilities include reviewing code and designs, optimizing application performance, ensuring adherence to architecture principles, and mentoring development teams. The role also requires hands-on involvement in solution implementation, technical documentation, and continuous improvement of application architecture and workflow automation.
Qualifications
Strong software development skills in Java, with the ability to build and maintain complex enterprise applications.
Practical experience applying design patterns and architecture principles to create robust, maintainable solutions.
Hands-on expertise in microservices design and implementation, including service orchestration and integration.
Proficiency in Jakarta EE (or equivalent Java enterprise frameworks) for building scalable backend services.
Deep experience with Camunda or similar workflow/BPM platforms, including process modeling and automation.
Ability to lead architectural discussions, perform technical reviews, and provide guidance to development teams.
Experience with RESTful APIs, messaging systems, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in hybrid environments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
