Role Description The Mechanical Fitter role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Mechanical Fitter will install, align, and assemble mechanical components and machinery according to technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Daily activities include inspecting equipment, performing routine and preventive maintenance, identifying mechanical issues, and carrying out repairs or adjustments. The role involves working with machining and fitting tools, assisting in commissioning of equipment, and coordinating with supervisors and other trades on project tasks. The Mechanical Fitter is expected to follow all safety procedures, maintain accurate records of work performed, and contribute to efficient project execution.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Fitting and working with Machinery for installation, alignment, and assembly of mechanical components.
Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to inspect, service, and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
Candidates should possess practical Machining skills to operate basic machine tools and prepare parts as per specifications.
Relevant technical qualification such as ITI, diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical, Fitter, or related trade.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical specifications.
Knowledge of industrial safety practices and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Prior experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in industrial maintenance is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team on-site.
