Role Description The Building Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Bijapur. The role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems, including electrical fixtures, plumbing, HVAC units, and general infrastructure. The technician will respond to maintenance requests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that common areas, equipment, and safety systems are functioning properly. Daily tasks include coordinating with supervisors and other staff, maintaining maintenance logs, managing basic tools and supplies, and following safety and compliance procedures. The technician is expected to support smooth facility operations and minimize downtime through timely, high-quality work.
Qualifications
Experience with basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs, including troubleshooting common building system issues.
Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, fixtures, and building equipment.
Knowledge of safety practices, use of hand and power tools, and adherence to local building and safety regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks.
Capability to read and follow work orders, manuals, and simple technical diagrams.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with facility staff and external vendors.
Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in varied conditions.
Prior experience in building or facility maintenance; vocational training or certification in a related trade is an advantage.
Willingness to work on-site in Bijapur and be available for occasional emergency or after-hours maintenance needs.
