Interior Designer – Furniture & Space Planning

Vilasitam is a premium furniture experience centre in Kirti Nagar, Delhi, featuring fully furnished room setups, classic and modern furniture, outdoor collections, and customisation options. We help homeowners and hospitality businesses furnish complete spaces with furniture suited to their style and requirements.
We’re looking for an Interior Designer to handle customer consultations, space planning, showroom styling, and coordination of client projects from concept through installation.
Key Responsibilities
Understand clients’ requirements, budgets, lifestyle needs, and design preferences through showroom consultations and site visits.
Take accurate site measurements and prepare furniture layouts, mood boards, material palettes, and design presentations.
Create 2D drawings and 3D visualisations to help clients understand proposed designs.
Recommend furniture, upholstery, finishes, colours, and accessories for cohesive room setups.
Prepare detailed custom furniture specifications and coordinate with manufacturing teams on dimensions, materials, finishes, and feasibility.
Work with the sales team on product selections, quotations, and client approvals.
Coordinate project execution, track timelines, and oversee furniture placement and installation at client sites.
Resolve design and fit issues during execution and check completed work against approved specifications.
Style and refresh showroom displays to showcase our collections and inspire customers.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp, or equivalent design software.
Strong understanding of furniture, materials, finishes, proportions, and practical space planning.
A portfolio demonstrating design ability and executed work.
Confidence communicating with clients and coordinating with sales, manufacturing, and installation teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
Experience in premium residential interiors, hospitality projects, custom furniture, or furniture retail is preferred. Knowledge of rendering software is an advantage.
