Position Summary
We’re currently seeking an experienced copywriter to write persuasive copy for a range of campaigns, including email marketing and paid media campaigns focused on awareness, conversions, and other goals, while maintaining a consistent brand voice across channels.
This is a full-time position, and you’ll be working in the Direct Response Marketing department, reporting to the Direct Response Marketing Manager.
A successful candidate will have a strong commitment to libertarian ideas, a solid understanding of SFL’s mission, and relevant experience writing persuasive copy that drives results.
Responsibilities
Plan, launch, manage, and optimize paid media campaigns across Meta Ads and Google Ads
Develop paid acquisition strategies focused on donor acquisition, lead generation, website traffic, and conversions
Manage campaign structure, audience targeting, retargeting, bidding strategies, placements, and budget allocation
Monitor campaign performance and make ongoing data-driven optimizations to improve results and efficiency
Develop and execute structured A/B testing strategies across audiences, creatives, messaging, landing pages, and campaign settings
Analyze campaign data to identify performance trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
Build and optimize retargeting strategies across different stages of the acquisition and donor journey
Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot conversion tracking, including Meta Pixel, Conversions API, Google Tag Manager, and conversion events
Collaborate with copywriters and designers to develop and continuously improve paid media creatives
Provide clear, data-driven creative direction and briefs based on campaign performance and audience insights
Monitor creative performance and identify creative fatigue, winning concepts, and opportunities for new iterations
Manage paid media budgets and allocate spend based on campaign objectives and performance
Produce regular performance reports highlighting key metrics, insights, learnings, and recommended next steps
Proactively identify performance issues, tracking problems, and growth opportunities and propose solutions
Stay current on paid media platform changes, advertising best practices, and emerging acquisition opportunities
Qualifications
4+ years of hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns, preferably across Meta Ads and Google Ads
Strong hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager, including campaign setup, audience strategy, optimization, and performance analysis
Experience developing and managing Google Ads campaigns, including Search and other relevant campaign types
Hands-on experience with Meta Pixel, Conversions API, Google Tag Manager, and conversion event setup
Strong understanding of paid acquisition strategy, campaign funnels, audience targeting, retargeting, and conversion optimization
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret campaign data and turn it into actionable recommendations
Strong knowledge of paid media metrics, including CTR, CPC, CPM, CPL, CPA, conversion rate, and ROAS
Experience using Google Analytics to analyze traffic, user behavior, acquisition, and conversions
Strong understanding of paid media creative strategy, including ad formats, hooks, messaging angles, and creative testing
Experience developing structured A/B and creative testing strategies
Ability to brief copywriters and designers and provide clear, data-driven creative direction
Experience managing and optimizing advertising budgets
Proactive, resourceful, and highly accountable, with a strong sense of ownership
Ability to independently identify performance issues and opportunities and propose solutions rather than relying solely on direction from others
Preferred (but Not Mandatory)
Experience with fundraising, nonprofit, or direct response marketing
Experience managing paid acquisition campaigns focused on donations or donor acquisition
Experience with tracking and attribution, including client-side and server-side tracking
Experience with LinkedIn Ads and TikTok Ads
Knowledge of website optimization, SEO, and organic acquisition strategies
Familiarity with the liberty and free-market intellectual movement and its donor community
