Quality Analyst & Trainer for Home Health

2. About the Opportunity:
The Quality Analyst & Trainer for Home Health is responsible for overseeing the home health clinical audit program to ensure audits meet accuracy standards. This role involves quality review of clinical coding audits, collaborating with auditors and clinicians to improve audit completeness, and developing feedback and training sessions based on audit findings. The position plays a key role in enhancing audit effectiveness and supporting the ongoing education of audit staff.
3. Responsibilities:
Review the accuracy and consistency of clinical auditors' work
Mentor clinical auditors
Recommend process improvements to enhance quality and performance
Conduct root cause analysis on errors
Update training materials and user manuals
Communicate effectively with peers and management
Achieve productivity and quality goals
Participate actively in team discussions and respond promptly to communications
Engage in continuous education and alignment with industry standards and regulations
Perform additional assigned duties
4. Requirements:
Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing in current state of residence
Minimum of 7 years of home health experience
Prior auditing experience
OASIS certification and/or coding certification preferred but not required
Experience with coding or auditing Home Health OASIS and non-OASIS claims
Ability to review assessments for compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies
Knowledge of ICD-10 coding relevant to patient conditions
Familiarity with CMS guidelines and Home Health PPS reimbursement
Skills in identifying and analyzing overpayment issues
Strong clinical auditing, decision-making, and communication skills
Ability to mentor and instruct through audits
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work independently and in teams
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary Range: $60,100 – $98,700
