Role Description The Sales Attendant is a full-time, on-site role based at Arose Food in Ahmedabad. In this position, the Sales Attendant greets customers, answers product questions, and assists with item selection to ensure a smooth shopping experience. Daily responsibilities include maintaining product displays, restocking shelves, checking product freshness, and keeping the sales area clean and organized. The role also involves operating the billing counter or point-of-sale system, handling cash and digital payments accurately, and issuing receipts. The Sales Attendant works closely with the store team to support inventory counts, report low-stock items, follow hygiene and safety guidelines, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Ability to provide courteous, helpful customer service and communicate clearly with diverse customers.
Basic numeracy skills and comfort handling cash, digital payments, and point-of-sale systems.
Attention to detail for checking product labels, freshness, and maintaining clean, orderly shelves.
Reliability in following store procedures, hygiene and safety standards, and company policies.
Willingness to stand for extended periods, carry light to moderate loads, and assist with stock movement.
Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and readiness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
Prior experience in retail or food sales is an advantage but not mandatory; on-the-job training may be provided.
Minimum educational qualification of high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
