Role Description The Cardiac Sonographer is a full-time, on-site role based at Vijan Hospital and Research Centre in Nashik. The role involves performing echocardiograms and other non-invasive cardiac ultrasound examinations, ensuring accurate image acquisition and optimal diagnostic quality. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, explaining tests in clear, respectful language, and collaborating closely with cardiologists and other medical staff to support clinical decision-making. The Cardiac Sonographer will document findings, maintain equipment and ultrasound rooms, follow safety and infection control protocols, and adhere to hospital standards and regulatory guidelines. The role also includes participating in quality assurance activities, supporting training initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement in cardiac imaging services.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Cardiology and Non-invasive Cardiology, with the ability to interpret and perform a range of cardiac ultrasound studies like 2D/4D echo , stress echo ,DSE , holter , ABPM
BSc in cardiac technology
Proficiency in operating echocardiography and ultrasound equipment, with attention to image quality, patient safety, and infection control.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management abilities, with a focus on accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols.
Commitment to ongoing professional development, including staying current with advances in cardiac imaging techniques and guidelines.
