The Department of Physics, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar, invites applications for one Project Assistant under a 3-year research project funded by the Climate Change Department, Government of Gujarat.
Project Title:
Next-Generation Ambient CO₂ Sensors for Energy-Efficient Climate Mitigation in Gujarat
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Project Assistant role based at the PDEU campus in Gandhinagar. The Project Assistant will support project planning and execution (literature review, methodolgy, synthesis, characterisations, fabrication, sensor optimisation and its electronics etc.) including coordinating activities, maintaining documentation, and tracking timelines and deliverables.
Responsibilities include assisting with data collection and analysis, preparing reports and presentations, and supporting communication between faculty and other stakeholders. The role also involves organizing project meetings and events, handling basic administrative tasks related to projects, and ensuring compliance with university procedures. The Project Assistant is expected to collaborate closely with project leads to help achieve project objectives efficiently.
Eligibility:
M.Sc. in Physics, Applied Physics, Materials Science or Electronics with ≥55% marks/CGPA equivalent;
OR
4-Year B.Sc. in relevant disciplines with ≥75% marks/CGPA equivalent.
Experience/exposure in materials synthesis and characterization, electronics, circuit development or PCB designing will be desirable.
Position: Project Assistant | 01 Post
Fellowship: ₹25,000/month
Initial Duration: 12 months, extendable up to 3 years based on project requirements and performance.
