Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Safety Representative. The Safety Representative will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety programs and procedures across company operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting virtual and, where applicable, onsite safety inspections, reviewing incident reports, identifying hazards, and recommending corrective actions. The role involves delivering safety training, promoting environmental health and safety (EHS) best practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The Safety Representative will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare safety documentation and reports, and contribute to continuous improvement in safety performance and culture.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Healthcare-related safety knowledge, with an understanding of applicable regulations and industry standards.
Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, present safety information, and engage team members at all levels.
Candidates should possess Training and Inspection skills, including experience delivering safety training, conducting audits or inspections, and identifying risks and non-compliance.
Candidates should possess organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, prioritize tasks, and support incident investigations.
Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Healthcare, or a related field are beneficial.
Professional certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO-related training, or equivalent) and experience in industrial or resource-sector environments are advantageous.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, use digital tools for communication and documentation, and maintain confidentiality and integrity.
