About The Project:
A government-funded initiative at IIT Bombay, Mumbai focusing on the development and demonstration of drone and allied technologies. This project aims to address various applications through the utilisation of advanced technologies and critical infrastructure. The project will also focus on development, deployment and maintenance of critical technologies and infrastructure including AI/ML platforms and tools to enhance drone capabilities and performance.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced AI/ML and Deep Learning Engineer who has strong expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models and architectures with a focus on real-time applications. This role requires technical proficiency in AI/ML technologies and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advancing our AI capabilities, enhancing model performance with best AI/ML practices and solutions, and implementing robust MLOps practices to ensure sustainable and scalable AI solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, develop and deploy scalable AI/ML architectures and models for integration with our systems.
Optimise models for real-time interface, ensuring efficient and effective performance in production environments.
Implement and maintain MLOps pipelines for continuous monitoring, evaluation, and retraining of AI/ML models.
Develop AI-driven automation systems for data classification and processing.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to integrate AI solutions with other system components.
Document technical specifications, methodologies, and results for collaboration, knowledge sharing and future reference.
Qulificatoion and Key Skills Required:
Ph.D. with relevant experience or
MTech / ME or equivalent degree with relevant experience or
BTech / BE or equivalent degree with relevant experience
Machine Learning and Deep Learning:
Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and deep learning architectures.
Proficiency in feature engineering, model training, and hyperparameter optimization
Programming and Development:
Advanced Python programming skills with experience in software engineering best practices.
Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Working knowledge of Scikit-learn and other specialised ML libraries and tools.
AI/ML Cloud and Infrastructure:
Expert experience deploying and managing AI/ML workflows on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure ML).
Understanding of design principles such as infrastructure-as-code and more.
Data Engineering:
Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and Snowflake.
Skills in data storage, preparation, transformation, query optimisation, and feature extraction pipelines.
Model Optimization and Deployment:
Expertise in model optimization techniques including quantisation, pruning, and ONNX conversion.
Experience with DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment.
