DIFFvelopment is a global Black-led organization dedicated to restoring historical understanding, economic confidence, and visionary leadership for the global Black community. Since 2015, it has empowered over 3,500 young Black leaders from the U.S., Africa, and the wider diaspora through programs rooted in history, leadership, entrepreneurship, and generational wealth-building. Its flagship initiatives include the Consultrepreneurship Program, the Black Generational Wealth Program, and the Council on Global Black Development (CGBD) Fellowship. The DIFF Center, an online learning hub, extends its impact through masterclasses, workshops, and tools that help participants reclaim identity, build wealth, and create legacies. DIFFvelopment exists to uniquely uplift Black communities worldwide through truth-driven education and economic empowerment.
Role Description
As a CCGBD Research Fellow, you will contribute to Africana-centered research that impacts policy, philanthropy, and community transformation. Your responsibilities will include conducting scholarly research, analyzing data, authoring reports and articles, and collaborating with a team of mission-aligned individuals. You will also participate in presentations and discussions to share insights and findings. This is a remote internship role, providing opportunities to work in a flexible environment while supporting the organization's goals.
Qualifications
Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in writing, editing, and producing scholarly materials
Knowledge of Africana studies, Black history, and community-focused scholarship
Effective communication and collaboration abilities within a remote team setting
Passion for policy analysis, philanthropy research, and community development
Experience with digital tools and platforms relevant to researching and writing
Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in a related field, such as Africana Studies, History, Sociology, or a similar discipline
