Senior Video Editor

About the Role
We're building out a growing video production team behind a fast-scaling coaching
and education content brand, and we're looking for a Senior Video Editor to own
final-cut quality across our output. You'll take rough cuts through to publish-ready
delivery, shaping pacing, sound, and color, and making independent creative calls
that elevate storytelling. This is a senior, high-ownership role, you're the last
checkpoint before content goes out the door.
What You'll Do
Take rough cuts from junior editors and turn them into polished, publish-ready final
edits. Own pacing, rhythm, and story structure to maximize watch time and
engagement. Handle sound design and audio cleanup and mixing for a consistent,
professional finish. Maintain color consistency and grading across all content. Make
independent creative decisions on structure, transitions, and visual style, you won't
need hand-holding. Review and give feedback to junior editors to raise the overall
quality bar across the team. Create polished, high-quality motion design and
infographics in After Effects. Leverage AI-assisted creative tools for faster stylistic
exploration, repurposing, and turnaround. Work closely with the Creative Director,
Head of Video Production, and DOP to ensure final cuts match creative intent from
shoot to delivery.
What We're Looking For
3 to 5 years of professional video editing experience, ideally across branded,
coaching, or educational content. A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating final-cut
quality work, not just assembly editing. Proficiency in any major professional editing
software, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, we primarily work in
Premiere Pro, so comfort switching or ramping up quickly is a plus. Strong working
proficiency in After Effects, able to build polished motion graphics and infographics
independently, not just basic titles or transitions. Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and
story, you can feel when a cut isn't working and know how to fix it. Comfort working
with AI-assisted editing and creative tools. Ability to work independently, take
ownership, and make final creative calls without constant oversight. Strong
communication skills to give clear, constructive feedback to junior team members.
