Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Mumbai. The Sales Engineer will work closely with customers to understand technical requirements, propose suitable product solutions, and support the sales process from initial contact through post-sale follow-up. Daily responsibilities include preparing technical proposals and quotations, conducting product demonstrations, and coordinating with internal engineering and production teams to address customer needs. The role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting product-related issues, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. The Sales Engineer will also contribute to market research, identify new business opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction through timely communication and service.
Qualifications
Strong Sales Engineering skills with the ability to understand industrial products, interpret technical specifications, and translate them into practical solutions for clients.
Experience in Sales and Customer Service, including lead generation, relationship management, negotiation, and post-sale support.
Technical Support capabilities, such as troubleshooting, product application guidance, and coordination with internal technical teams.
Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or an equivalent technical qualification.
Prior experience in industrial products, manufacturing, or engineering solutions is preferred.
Ability to work independently on-site, manage multiple client requirements, and travel locally as needed.
Proficiency in basic office and CRM software; familiarity with reading technical drawings and documentation is an advantage.
