Karis Partners builds and maintains software for public sector and enterprise clients, on multi-year engagements built to government compliance standards. Our engineering team works remotely. We are hiring our first business analyst in Mumbai.
The role
You will represent Karis Partners at our clients' offices and act as the link between the client and our engineering team.
Communication runs in both directions. You gather what the client needs and document it for our engineers. When the engineering team responds with a constraint, a technical limitation or a different approach, you take that back to the client and explain it in terms they understand, so that decisions get made without delay.
You will work directly with the founders and be trained on our process and systems.
Responsibilities
Meet client staff, understand their requirements, and ask the follow-up questions needed to make those requirements precise
Document requirements in clear written English for an engineering team working in a different timezone
Relay the engineering team's questions, constraints and proposed alternatives back to the client, explained in plain language
Manage website content through a CMS, in English and Marathi
Maintain a written record of every decision, open point and approval
Reliability
You are our representative at the client's office, and the role depends on being dependable:
Punctual, consistently
Reachable during working hours and responsive outside them when something is live
Available to travel to client sites when required, including at short notice
Accountable for what you commit to in a meeting
Travel and overtime are paid.
Requirements
BE/BTech (CS/IT), BSc-IT, BCA or MCA. Freshers (2025 or 2026 passout) and candidates with up to two years' experience are both welcome
A working understanding of how web applications are built: frontend, backend, database, hosting, staging and production. We will train you on our process, not on the fundamentals
Professional fluency in Marathi, English and Hindi. Able to read and type Marathi (Devanagari)
Clear written English
Composure and professionalism in meetings with senior client personnel
Based in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai or Thane
What this role is: requirements, client communication and content management.
What it is not: a development role. You will not write production code.
Terms
₹30,000 to ₹35,000 per month, plus travel and overtime
Five-day work week, in person. Weekend client work is compensated with a day off in the same week
Laptop provided
₹20,000 per year toward professional certifications
Formal review at six months. Permanent role

संवाद दोन्ही दिशांनी चालतो. ग्राहकाला काय हवे आहे ते तुम्ही समजून घ्याल आणि ते आमच्या इंजिनिअर्ससाठी लेखी स्वरूपात नोंदवाल. जेव्हा इंजिनिअरिंग टीमकडून एखादी मर्यादा, तांत्रिक अडचण किंवा पर्यायी मार्ग सुचवला जाईल, तेव्हा ते ग्राहकाला त्यांना समजेल अशा भाषेत समजावून सांगाल, जेणेकरून निर्णय विनाविलंब होतील.
तुम्ही थेट संस्थापकांसोबत काम कराल आणि आमची कार्यपद्धती व प्रणाली यांचे प्रशिक्षण तुम्हाला दिले जाईल.
जबाबदाऱ्या

इंजिनिअरिंग टीमचे प्रश्न, मर्यादा आणि सुचवलेले पर्याय ग्राहकाला सोप्या भाषेत समजावून सांगणे
CMS द्वारे वेबसाइटवरील मजकूर इंग्रजी आणि मराठीत व्यवस्थापित करणे
प्रत्येक निर्णय, प्रलंबित मुद्दा आणि मंजुरीची लेखी नोंद ठेवणे
विश्वासार्हता
ग्राहकाच्या कार्यालयात तुम्ही आमचे प्रतिनिधी आहात, त्यामुळे या भूमिकेत भरवशाचे असणे अत्यावश्यक आहे:
नेहमी वेळेवर उपस्थित राहणे
कामाच्या वेळेत उपलब्ध असणे, आणि एखादे काम सुरू असताना कामाच्या वेळेनंतरही प्रतिसाद देणे
आवश्यकतेनुसार, अगदी कमी वेळेच्या सूचनेवरही ग्राहकांच्या कार्यालयात जाण्यास तयार असणे
बैठकीत दिलेल्या शब्दाची जबाबदारी घेणे
प्रवास आणि ओव्हरटाइमचा मोबदला दिला जातो.
आवश्यक पात्रता
BE/BTech (CS/IT), BSc-IT, BCA किंवा MCA. फ्रेशर्स (२०२५ किंवा २०२६ उत्तीर्ण) आणि दोन वर्षांपर्यंतचा अनुभव असलेले उमेदवार, दोघांचेही स्वागत आहे
