Role Description The Accountant role at JRA Grains is a full-time, on-site position based in Sagar. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The Accountant will coordinate with internal teams on cost accounting for manufacturing, inventory valuation, and pricing support, and will assist in preparing reports for management and external stakeholders. The position also includes maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and recommending process improvements to strengthen financial controls.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management; ability to handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and inventory management in a manufacturing or food processing environment is highly beneficial.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems or Tally (or similar) is an advantage.
Understanding of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes within the Indian regulatory context.
Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data for decision-making.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with operations, procurement, and management teams on-site in Sagar.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an added advantage.
