Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Clinical Pharmacist role based at RheumaCARE in Gulbarga. The Clinical Pharmacist will collaborate closely with rheumatologists and other clinicians to optimize medication therapy for patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. Daily responsibilities include reviewing medication orders, verifying dosages, identifying drug interactions, and ensuring safe, evidence-based use of biologics and other rheumatologic therapies. The role involves counseling patients and families on medication use, administration, side effects, adherence, and lifestyle considerations, as well as documenting interventions in the medical record. The Clinical Pharmacist will support formulary management, participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives, contribute to protocols and treatment guidelines, and assist with clinical research activities when required. The position also includes educating staff on pharmacotherapy updates and supporting the integration of new therapies into clinical practice.
Qualifications - Pharm D/BAMS/BHMS
Strong foundation in Pharmacy and Medicine, with the ability to interpret prescriptions, clinical notes, and laboratory data to guide safe and effective pharmacotherapy.
Demonstrated competence in Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Care, including medication therapy management, patient counseling, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Hands-on experience or training in Compounding and preparation of medications, with attention to safety, sterility, and rheumatology-specific treatments where applicable.
Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution; registration/license to practice as a pharmacist as per applicable regulations.
Prior experience in a clinical, hospital, or specialty clinic setting, preferably with exposure to rheumatology, immunology, or chronic disease management.
Ability to interpret clinical guidelines, research evidence, and pharmacoeconomic data to support treatment decisions.
Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach, including the ability to educate individuals from diverse backgrounds in an understandable manner.
