Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Kolkata. The Salesperson will engage directly with customers in-store, understand their preferences, provide styling assistance, and recommend suitable products from Rasraj India’s collections. Daily responsibilities include welcoming customers, explaining product features and fabric details, handling inquiries, and ensuring a high-quality, personalized shopping experience. The role also involves achieving sales targets, managing billing and cash transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting inventory management such as stock checks and merchandising. The Salesperson will collaborate closely with the store and management teams to uphold brand standards, maintain visual displays, and contribute to promotional activities and customer retention.
Qualifications
Customer service and sales skills: ability to engage customers, understand needs, advise on product selection, and close sales effectively.
Communication and interpersonal skills: clear spoken communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional manner with diverse customers.
Fashion and product knowledge: interest in ethnic and Indo-western fashion, understanding of fabrics, fits, and styling for different occasions.
Organization and basic operations skills: comfort with , billing, cash handling, and maintaining accurate sales and inventory records.
Professional qualities: reliability, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Education and experience: prior retail or fashion sales experience is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a background in fashion or marketing is an advantage.
Language skills: Basic English and local languages commonly spoken in Kolkata is beneficial to serve a broad customer base.
Pay Range - Rs.15000 - 25000 per month plus commision based on sales performance
