About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Job Position: Marketplace Growth Manager
Location: Peelamedu locality, Coimbatore
Type: Full-time
Experience: 3–4+ years
About Nap Chief
Nap Chief is a fast-growing D2C kidswear brand. We sell through our own website (napchief.com) and all major marketplaces including Myntra, FirstCry, and Amazon. At Nap Chief, we're redefining kids' wear for a new generation of parents. We craft premium, super-soft clothing that kids love to wear and parents trust. Our mission is to empower the young generation and we are looking for you to join forces with us to conquer this mission.
About the Role
You will own Nap Chief's entire marketplace business — revenue and profitability across every platform, the catalogue on each, pricing and event strategy, platform advertising, inventory sell-through, and platform relationships. The mandate is to grow marketplace revenue while keeping contribution margin (CM2) intact — growth that loses money at the SKU level does not count.
Responsibilities
P&L ownership per platform:
Own revenue and CM2 targets for each marketplace: Myntra, FirstCry, Amazon, and any platform we operate on
Maintain SKU-level P&L visibility: selling price, discounts, platform commissions and fees, returns, ad spend, and resulting contribution margin — per platform, per month
Report weekly on platform performance, drivers, and actions in the business review
Catalog and content:
Own listing quality on every platform: product titles, descriptions, keywords, imagery, size charts, and A+/enhanced content where available
Own catalog completeness and hygiene: new products listed on time, correct attribution, active selection maximized, and ratings/reviews monitored with corrective action on recurring complaints
Pricing, discounting, and events:
Own platform-level pricing and discount strategy, including price parity decisions across channels
Own sale-event participation decisions — Myntra EORS, Amazon sale events, FirstCry sales, and category-level promotions — evaluated with margin math before committing, and planned end-to-end (stock, pricing, visibility) when we participate
Platform advertising:
Own marketplace ad budgets and execution: Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products/Brands), Myntra PLA, and equivalent programs on other platforms
Manage ad efficiency at the SKU and category level as part of overall CM2, not as a separate silo
Inventory and operations:
Plan sell-through with the fashion buyer: demand forecasts by SKU and platform, stock allocation across platforms and fulfilment models, replenishment for winners, and clearance paths for slow movers
Monitor and control returns and RTO rates; diagnose causes (sizing, quality, expectation mismatch) and fix them with the relevant team
Own account health on each platform: fill rates, SLA compliance, penalties, claims, and payment reconciliation
Portfolio and expansion:
Make SKU-level portfolio calls each season: which styles to scale, fix, or delist
Evaluate and recommend new platform entries (Ajio, Hopscotch, Nykaa Kids, quick commerce) with a clear business case, and own the launch when approved
Relationships and team:
Own relationships with category managers and platform POCs — visibility slots, event access, and issue resolution
Manage two marketplace associates: weekly plans, execution review, and development
KPIs you own:
Marketplace revenue vs plan, with CM2 held at target
Sell-through rate and inventory health
Returns/RTO rate
Ad efficiency (platform ACOS/ROAS within CM2 targets)
Requirements:
3–4+ years managing marketplace or category P&Ls — at a marketplace itself (Myntra, Amazon, FirstCry category teams) or at a brand selling at scale on them
MBA required, with a demonstrably sharp, analytical mindset — this role needs someone who can move fast and think clearly under ambiguity
Strong data analysis: comfortable in spreadsheets with SKU-level data, able to compute and act on contribution margin in real time
Working knowledge of seller platforms and tooling: Amazon Seller Central, Myntra Partner Portal or equivalents, and marketplace advertising consoles
Demonstrated results: revenue or profitability improvements personally driven, with numbers
Experience coordinating inventory with buying/planning teams
Adaptability to a fast-moving assortment: many styles, seasonal drops, and a growing brand's pace
