Data Migration Lead

Job Description
Data migration lead to manage and execute large scale data migration activities
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
10+ year experience
Expertise in data migration projects
Hands-on experience with developing data migration pipelines, data mapping, transformation, loading, monitoring and reconciliation.
Ability to work independently & lead a team
Analyze source and target database structures, tables, fields, and relationships.
Create and maintain source-to-target data mapping documents.
Define data transformation and cleansing rules where required.
Develop scripts to extract, transform, and load data from source to target databases.
Build reusable pipelines for migrating large volume of data.
Execute and monitor data migration activities across environments.
Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure migrated data is complete and accurate.
Identify and resolve data migration issues and discrepancies.
Work closely with data architect & business stakeholders
Communicate effectively with client stakeholders
Support migration testing & defect resolution
Plan & support production cutover activities.
Prepare migration documentation, including mapping, transformation rules, scripts, validation results, and migration runbooks.
Required Skills
Strong SQL and database knowledge.
Experience with data migration projects.
Experience in source-to-target mapping and data transformation.
Hands-on experience writing migration/ETL scripts.
Good understanding of relational databases, tables, relationships, keys, and data types.
Experience with data validation and reconciliation.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to lead and coordinate migration activities across technical teams.
