Role Description The Basketball Bleachers & Goals Installers role is a full-time remote position that involves traveling to customer sites to install and service bleachers, basketball goals, and related athletic equipment. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting installation plans and manuals, assembling and mounting equipment, securing structural components, and performing quality checks to ensure safety and compliance with specifications. Installers coordinate with project managers, school or facility representatives, and other trades on-site to schedule work, address issues, and document installation progress. The role also involves maintaining tools and equipment, following all safety procedures, completing required reporting or photos of completed work, and occasionally assisting with inspections, repairs, or adjustments to existing installations.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, installation manuals, and measurement tools with strong attention to detail.
General construction, carpentry, or mechanical skills, including safe use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifts.
Knowledge of basic safety standards and best practices for construction and installation work, including adherence to company and site-specific safety protocols.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address site conditions, equipment issues, and installation challenges.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with teammates, contractors, and facility staff, including clear documentation of work performed.
Ability to travel regularly to job sites, work in various indoor and outdoor environments, and perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience installing athletic equipment, bleachers, or similar systems is preferred but not required.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and eligibility to work in the regions served by SOPA Inc.
