Role Description The Business Development Manager at Maaruni Dairy is a full-time on-site role based in Dausa. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s market reach in the dairy sector. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, developing sales and growth plans, managing key accounts, and coordinating with internal teams on pricing, product positioning, and promotional activities. The Business Development Manager will regularly meet with distributors, retailers, and institutional buyers, negotiate commercial terms, and track performance against revenue and growth targets. The role also involves preparing reports and forecasts, monitoring competitor activity, and recommending improvements to strengthen Maaruni Dairy’s competitive position.
Qualifications
Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, relationship management, and negotiation.
Experience in market analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning, preferably in FMCG or the dairy/food industry.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as operations, finance, and marketing to execute growth initiatives.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels.
Sound understanding of distribution channels, retail dynamics, and rural and semi-urban markets.
Proven capability to work on-site in a field-driven role, including regular visits to customers and partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, Food Technology, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is an advantage.
Prior experience in dairy, agriculture, or food processing sectors is highly desirable.
Proficiency in basic office software and reporting tools; familiarity with CRM systems is beneficial.
Ability to work with integrity, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against clear performance targets.
