We are looking for an experienced Freelance CAD Engineer to support our team with 2D engineering drawings and 3D modelling for a variety of offshore projects.
Our ideal candidate is based in Europe and has experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D. Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Vault is a plus. You will work fully remote and independently on a project basis, translating engineering input and project requirements into accurate and practical drawings and models within agreed deadlines.
What you'll do:
Create detailed 2D engineering drawings for offshore projects, including lifting plans, rigging arrangements, deck layouts, load-out and load-in arrangements, seafastening and grillage drawings, and other project-specific engineering drawings.
Develop and modify 3D models, prepare project arrangements and perform clash checks.
Translate engineering input and project requirements into clear, practical drawings for project preparation and execution.
Ensure drawings and designs comply with applicable project requirements, regulations and relevant offshore industry standards.
What you bring:
At least 5 years of professional CAD experience.
Strong experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Vault is a plus.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
A sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
