Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Rig Welder role based in Siwan. The Rig Welder will perform welding operations on drilling rigs and associated structures, including fabrication, repair, and maintenance of metal components. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting welding drawings and specifications, preparing materials and equipment, and executing welds that meet industry and company quality standards. The role involves inspecting completed welds, identifying defects, and making necessary adjustments or repairs. The Rig Welder will collaborate with rig maintenance and operations teams, follow all safety protocols, and maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Welding and Arc Welding for structural and rig-related work.
Candidates should possess practical experience in TIG Welding and MIG Welding for different materials and thicknesses.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials, including properties of metals and appropriate welding techniques.
Relevant technical training or certification in welding from a recognized institution is preferred.
Proven experience as a welder in industrial, oil and gas, or rig environments is beneficial.
Ability to read and follow technical drawings, welding procedures, and safety guidelines.
Strong focus on safety, awareness of hazardous environments, and adherence to PPE and safety regulations.
Physical ability to work in demanding conditions, including standing for long periods and working at heights or in confined spaces.
