Role Description The HVAC Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The role involves designing HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, or residential projects, including load calculations, equipment selection, and layout preparation. Day-to-day tasks include preparing drawings and technical documentation, coordinating with plumbing and mechanical design teams, and ensuring designs comply with applicable codes and standards. The engineer will review project specifications, support project planning, respond to technical queries, and collaborate with project managers, vendors, and site teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery. The role also includes participating in design reviews, optimizing system efficiency, and providing technical support during installation and commissioning.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in HVAC Design and HVAC system layout, including load calculations and equipment selection.
Working knowledge of Plumbing design principles and integration with HVAC systems.
Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including applied calculations and understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
Ability to use relevant design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) and familiarity with industry codes and standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Previous experience in HVAC design for building or industrial projects is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with capacity to coordinate with cross-functional project teams.
