What we’re looking for:
At least 15 years of consistent experience with Python, with proven experience as a Principal Engineer in large-scale projects
Technical Design: sets technical direction and aligns architecture with organizational strategy; defines and promotes best practices while effectively communicating complex designs to diverse stakeholders
Software Development: drives adoption of technologies, programming languages, and version control systems; expert in industry best practices, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
Testing & Quality Assurance: expert in testing tools and methodologies, defining and promoting QA best practices across multiple teams
Security, Performance & Observability: guides teams on integrating security into the development lifecycle; optimizes code for performance and observability across multiple teams
Build & Deployment: DevOps and CI/CD expert; establishes operational best practices and drives continuous deployment improvements across the organization
Support & Operations: experienced in operating and supporting software in production environments, with strong complex problem-solving capabilities
Fluency in English (C1 Level)
Nice to have:
Infra experience with Azure, AKS, and Terraform (Plus)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments (Plus)
Important:
This position is following a remote regime, based in Portugal. Candidates should be based in Portugal and have a Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit to be considered. EU based candidates can be consideres if willing to relocate to Portugal.
