Role Description The Assistant Manager HR is a full-time, on-site role based in Ranchi, responsible for supporting and executing key HR functions across the employee lifecycle. This role involves managing recruitment activities, coordinating interviews, and supporting onboarding processes to ensure a positive experience for new team members. The Assistant Manager HR will handle employee records, assist with payroll inputs, leave management, and maintain HR documentation in compliance with company policies and local regulations. Daily responsibilities include supporting performance management processes, organizing training and development initiatives, and assisting with employee engagement programs and grievance resolution. The role also requires collaborating with department heads on workforce planning, implementing HR policies and procedures, and preparing HR reports and analytics for management review.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong HR operations and administration skills, including employee data management, HR documentation, and basic payroll coordination.
Candidates should possess recruitment and talent acquisition skills, including sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and onboarding support.
Candidates should possess employee relations and engagement skills, including communication, conflict resolution support, and organization of engagement initiatives.
Candidates should possess performance management and training coordination skills, including supporting appraisal processes and arranging learning and development activities.
Candidates should possess compliance and policy implementation skills, including familiarity with labor laws, HR best practices, and adherence to ethical standards.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate HR qualification or certification is an advantage.
Strong proficiency in MS Office and HR software tools, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and prior experience in an HR role, preferably in the natural resources or industrial sector.
