Robotics Control Intern

ABOUT REVEL
- REVEL captures the skill of experienced workers, turns it into robot intelligence, and deploys that capability where work is hard to staff. Neural Gambit captures the force, motion and intent behind expert work. RAI learns from that data. Genesis robots perform the resulting tasks on site.
- The company was founded in 2025 and is building its founding team in the Czech Republic. The team is distributed across offices, a lab and a workshop, works with external contractors and partners, and handles customer and partner data that has to stay controlled.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help design, implement, and tune control algorithms under guidance from senior engineers
- Support testing of controllers in simulation and on real hardware
- Assist in debugging control and hardware-integration issues
- Support documentation and testing practices
REQUIREMENTS
- Coursework or project experience with control theory fundamentals (PID, state-space, feedback control)
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++; MATLAB/Simulink experience is a plus
- Understanding of basic robot dynamics and kinematics
- Working knowledge of ROS or ROS2 (nodes, topics, launch files) from coursework, personal projects, or prior internships
- Basic familiarity with Linux and the command line
- Comfortable using Git for version control
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience tuning controllers on real hardware, not just in simulation
- Exposure to state estimation techniques (Kalman filters, sensor fusion)
- Experience with simulation tools (Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo, or similar)
- Familiarity with motor/actuator control and embedded/real-time systems
- Experience with sensors relevant to feedback control (encoders, IMUs, force/torque sensors)
- Contributions to open-source robotics projects or a robotics club/competition team (FRC, RoboCup, etc.)
