📌 About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data, reporting solutions, and data integration processes.
In this role, you will serve as a primary QA resource for Power BI reporting, SQL-based data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations with internal and third-party systems.
You will work closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to validate data throughout the data lifecycle, identify discrepancies, troubleshoot production issues, and drive data-quality improvements.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
Data & Report Validation
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and data validation procedures.
Perform end-to-end testing of ETL/ELT processes using SQL and Python.
Validate source-to-target mappings, transformations, and data integrations.
Perform data reconciliation and balancing across source systems, staging, data warehouses, and reporting platforms.
Validate Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, semantic models, KPIs, DAX measures, filters, dimensions, hierarchies, and business logic.
Conduct ad hoc data investigations for business inquiries, audits, and operational reviews.
Develop and improve QA methodologies, testing standards, and validation frameworks.
🎯 Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Data QA, BI, Data Warehousing, Data Analysis, or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience testing and validating enterprise reporting solutions, preferably Power BI.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL querying, and data analysis.
Experience testing ETL/ELT processes and data integrations.
Working knowledge of Python-based data processing and automation.
Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying data-quality issues across multiple systems.
Experience supporting production environments and investigating defects.
Experience working with third-party data sources and enterprise applications.
Understanding of data governance, master data management, and data lineage concepts.
