Maintenance Planner

💰 $35–$40/hour, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Rock Island, IL
Job Description:
What you'll do:
As a key link between maintenance, production, and outside vendors, you'll plan and prioritize the work that keeps our equipment running. Day to day, you'll:
Build maintenance schedules and generate work orders across all shifts
Own the preventive/corrective maintenance program and keep it optimized
Track department performance through the ERP system and report on key metrics
Manage vendor relationships — sourcing quotes, technical documentation, and pricing
Forecast and manage parts inventory (MRP) so the team always has what it needs
Estimate labor and parts costs, and adjust plans when equipment breaks down
Prepare purchase requisitions/POs and support parts room operations
Occasionally assist outside normal hours for urgent needs
Required to support other sites remotely
What you bring:
Experience in manufacturing maintenance planning
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Must be able to operate a forklift, man lift and other industrial equipment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, D365 and Microsoft AX (highly preferred)
Purchasing and vendor management
High level knowledge of electrical and mechanical parts
Excellent planning and execution skills
Be an excellent communicator
Ability to work under pressure and with others for a common goal
