Role Description The LIFE Insurance Team Leader role at Tata AIA Insurance is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The team leader will oversee a sales team focused on life insurance products, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to achieve sales and service targets. Daily responsibilities include setting team goals, monitoring sales pipelines, reviewing policy applications, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory and company standards. The role involves supporting team members in customer meetings, resolving escalated customer issues, and promoting consistent, high-quality service. The team leader will also collaborate with branch leadership to plan campaigns, analyze sales data, and implement strategies that drive business growth and enhance customer experience.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Finance and Insurance, particularly life insurance products and financial planning concepts.
Proven Team Management skills, including coaching, performance tracking, and motivating diverse sales teams.
Excellent Customer Service abilities, with experience handling queries, resolving issues, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Demonstrated success in Sales, including meeting targets, managing pipelines, and executing sales strategies.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications in insurance or financial services are an advantage.
Prior experience in life insurance or financial services in a supervisory or team leader role is highly desirable.
