The Quest Ahead
We are seeking an experienced SDET to join one of our cross-functional teams and champion quality across our entire SaaS ecosystem including web applications, browser extensions, add-ins, and native desktop tools for Windows and Mac.
You won't just write scripts; you will act as a guardian of the user experience. You are deeply skilled in manual and exploratory testing, comfortable defining clear acceptance criteria alongside developers and product managers, and passionate about maintaining robust test automation in TypeScript and Playwright.
How you craft impact
Define Acceptance Criteria: Partner with cross-functional teammates during product discovery and planning to map out clear test scenarios, strategies, and coverage matrices.
Protect the Craft: Conduct exploratory, functional, regression, usability, and performance testing to uncover edge cases and maintain product reliability.
Automate with Purpose: Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable automated test suites and frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
Champion Quality: Coach teammates, advocate for testing best practices at every stage of the product lifecycle, and foster a culture where quality is a shared art.
Optimise Performance: Analyse system stability, identify bottlenecks in our AI and language engines, and collaborate with developers to keep our tools lightning-fast.
What you bring to the fellowship
Proven QA Experience: Hands-on mastery of manual, exploratory, regression, and usability testing.
Strong Automation & Coding: Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript with strong experience building test automation suites. (We use Playwright, but strong experience in Selenium or Cypress transfers well). *note - during interview, you will be expected to write a new Playwright test without AI assistance
Cross-Browser & Web Mastery: Deep familiarity with web applications, extensions, and core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS).
Collaborative Leadership: Interpersonal skill to turn complex requirements into clear testable criteria, triage defects, and influence engineering standards beyond your immediate work.
Bonus Skills: Experience with C#/.NET, testing non-deterministic AI/LLM-powered features, desktop apps, CI/CD pipelines, API testing (Postman), or load/security testing.
