Senior SEO/AEO Team Lead (5+ Years) | US Clients | EST Shift

About the Role
We're looking for a Senior SEO/AEO Team Lead to own search strategy for our US-based B2B and B2C e-commerce clients. You'll lead a team of SEO specialists, drive growth across traditional and AI-powered search, and be the strategic voice clients trust.
This role is for someone who has already moved past "rankings and backlinks" and is actively building visibility in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other answer engines.
What You'll Do
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SEO specialists, including task allocation, QA, and performance reviews
Build and execute SEO, AEO, and GEO strategies for US e-commerce brands
Own technical SEO for Shopify stores: site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, faceted navigation, and duplicate content
Implement and audit schema markup (Product, Organization, FAQ, Review, Breadcrumb, and more)
Strengthen E-E-A-T signals and content structures that earn citations in AI-generated answers
Track and report AI search visibility alongside organic performance
Present strategy documents, audits, and monthly performance reports directly to US clients
Work closely with developers, content writers, and account managers to ship recommendations on time
Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates and shifts in AI search behavior
What You Bring
5+ years of hands-on SEO experience
Proven team management experience (leading at least 3–4 people)
Strong experience working with US-based clients and handling client calls independently
Deep Shopify SEO expertise (WordPress is a plus)
Working knowledge of AEO/GEO and how LLMs surface and cite content
Proficiency with GA4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/Semrush, and schema validation tools
Excellent written and spoken English for client-facing communication
Comfortable working EST hours
Degree from a university outside India
Nice to Have
Experience with WordPress, BigCommerce, or headless commerce
Familiarity with AI visibility tracking tools
Experience building SOPs and training programs for SEO teams
