Lead Projects for legacy products, ongoing projects, and new business opportunities, including RFQs, feasibility studies, localization, and cost-effective solution development across Transit applications (mainly Brakes).
Own end-to-end project execution and customer deliverables with a First-Time-Right approach, ensuring requirement traceability, On-Time Delivery (OTD), technical dossier preparation, validation planning, and successful project realization.
Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for customers, including global Transit stakeholders, coordinating cross-functional and global teams to ensure seamless communication, issue resolution, and successful project execution.
Perform system design and validation activities, including pneumatic and electrical schematics, brake performance calculations, CATIA/AutoCAD design, FMECA, RAMS analysis, gate reviews, laboratory testing, field trials, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
Develop, manage, and maintain complete engineering documentation such as specifications, functional requirements, validation plans, traceability matrices, system manuals, engineering change records (PCR/ECR), and compliant product lifecycle documentation using PLM and ERP systems.
Drive product cost optimization and localization initiatives through VAVE, Design-to-Cost (DTC), Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM), should-cost analysis, alternate sourcing, supplier qualification, material equivalence studies, and India-first engineering approaches for NPI and product sustenance.
Lead continuous improvement by leveraging field feedback, warranty and MTBO analysis, SCRI initiatives, supplier quality inputs, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance product performance, operational efficiency, and business growth.
