Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer at Hypori, you will join the team that owns web application development. Your primary focus will be on the Hypori Console, used to administer the Hypori platform by both our internal administrators and our customers’ group/tenant managers. You will lead front-end architecture and implementation for the Hypori Console, scaling it to support deployments spanning hundreds of thousands of users and virtual workspaces. The Hypori Console is a React and TypeScript application backed by Java and Go microservices. You will spend most of your time in UI layers and be the person the team looks to for front-end judgment, while remaining fluent enough in the services, data model, and deployment pipelines to deliver features end-to-end.
User experience is a core part of this role rather than a dedicated function at Hypori: you will collaborate with both product managers and Hypori Console users on interface design, and translate prototypes into production UI. Because the Hypori Console is the primary entry point into Hypori for administrators and group managers, doing this well requires developing a strong working understanding of the platform itself, and real empathy for the console’s users.
Responsibilities:
Shape the end-to-end user experience of the Hypori Console – gather feedback and input from stakeholders, define interaction patterns and information architecture, and turn complex administrative workflows into clear, efficient interfaces, collaborating with Product Management on priorities and direction
Lead the Console's front-end architecture – component structure, state management, routing, build and test tooling – and maintain a shared component library and conventions that let other engineers contribute confidently
Deliver and troubleshoot features end-to-end, from UI through the REST APIs and backend services that support them, in a microservices architecture deployed on Kubernetes
