Role Description This is a part time remote role for a Full Stack Engineer. The Full Stack Engineer will design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications and services that support MarineX Robotics’ autonomous systems and internal tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing front-end interfaces, building and optimizing back-end APIs, integrating data from perception and control systems, and ensuring high performance and security across the stack. The role involves collaborating with robotics engineers, product managers, and other developers to translate technical and operational requirements into robust software solutions. The Full Stack Engineer will also participate in code reviews, write automated tests, document systems, and help improve development workflows and infrastructure.
Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in Front-End Development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), with experience creating responsive, accessible user interfaces.
Strong skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including building RESTful APIs and working with server-side frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Full-Stack Development, integrating front-end and back-end components into reliable, maintainable systems.
Solid understanding of modern web technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, common front-end frameworks, and server-side languages).
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing practices for production-grade applications.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team, with clear communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in robotics, real-time data systems, or distributed systems is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
