Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be the architect of our crew's professional journey. Your daily impact will include:
Career Mentorship: Monitor career progression and recommend personalized development interventions to help our crew reach their full potential.
Strategic Briefing: Conduct vital pre-deployment briefings and post-deployment debriefings to ensure alignment with client standards and capture lessons learned.
Training Excellence: Assess training needs across the fleet, developing comprehensive calendars and innovative modules that address skill gaps.
Competency Assessment: Administer trade tests for new hires and promotion candidates, ensuring objective and fair evaluations of culinary expertise.
Hands-on Coaching: Deliver engaging classroom sessions and provide direct one-on-one coaching to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a proactive professional with a blend of culinary mastery and educational expertise. Our ideal candidate brings:
Expertise: A Bachelor's degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management (or related)
Experience: 3- 5 years of onboard experience as a Chief Cook.
Culinary Range: Proficiency in European, Asian, Mediterranean, and American cuisines, including baking and pastry arts.
Training Foundation: At least 1 year of experience in training delivery, preferably with a Training of Trainers (TOT) qualification.
Soft Skills: Exceptional English communication, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work under pressure with high impact.
Standards: Solid knowledge of Hygiene Legislation (MARPOL), food safety, and competency-based assessment methods.
