Role Description The Senior Care Advisor is a contract, remote role responsible for guiding families and older adults through the process of identifying appropriate assisted living, memory care, and other senior housing options. Day-to-day tasks include conducting needs assessments, explaining care options, coordinating tours and meetings with care communities, and following up with clients to support informed decision-making. The advisor will research local resources, maintain relationships with care providers, and document all interactions and recommendations in an organized manner. This role also involves educating clients about costs, services, and levels of care, while ensuring that recommendations remain unbiased and centered on the client’s best interests. Advisors are expected to manage their own schedule, respond promptly to inquiries, and deliver professional, compassionate service in every interaction.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with older adults, families, and care providers, both verbally and in writing.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple client cases and maintain accurate records.
Experience in senior care, social work, healthcare, case management, or a related field is highly beneficial.
Comfort working in a remote, contract capacity with proficiency using online tools, databases, and video or phone communication platforms.
Knowledge of assisted living, memory care, and other senior housing options, or willingness to learn quickly and stay current with local resources.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to providing unbiased, client-centered recommendations.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (such as gerontology, social work, healthcare, counseling, or human services) is preferred but not required.
