Job Description
One of our UK accounting clients is seeking talented accountants to join them and help them achieve their growth targets.
This is a new role working closely with the UK Team to deliver compliance services for their UK client base.
This is also a full-time remote position with semi-flexible working schedule (8 hours/day; 5 days/week) and daily Microsoft Teams meeting together with the UK Team.
You will be working on a UK Accounting Calendar basis and allowed working holidays will be discussed on the final interview.
You will also have the growth potential to develop team leadership and management skills with potential to travel to the UK for business trips over time.
In addition to the requisite skills, our client is looking for the right personality fit. The successful applicant will be motivated, conscientious and an excellent communicator, with high attention to detail. As you will be working with confidential client account information, integrity and trustworthiness will be of the highest priority.
Key responsibilities
● Maintaining client’s book-keeping records including reconciliation of bank and other control accounts
● Preparation of VAT Returns for review
● Preparation of Management Accounts with variance analysis and explanation
● Preparation of end of year Financial Statements including UK corporation tax calculation for review
Key duties
Maintaining clients Xero
● Using Dext to upload purchases
● Setting supplier preferences
● Publishing uploaded items onto Xero
● Uploading items manually onto Dext
● Bank Reconciliation
● Matching items published through Dext
● Setting rules for non-purchase transactions
● Uploading outstanding item list for clients
● Sales Ledger Reconciliations
● Purchase Ledger Reconciliations
● Reconciliation of control accounts within the Balance Sheet
● Calculating and inputting accruals and prepayments
● Maintaining fixed asset registers on Xero
Preparation of VAT returns for review
● Reconciliation work where not carried out by client

● Accounting graduate with minimum 2 years of experience (essential)

● CPA-qualified (desirable)
● Preferably be a graduate of top five (5) accounting universities in the Philippines
● Research Skills, particularly online search for Xero

The Required Tools

The Offer
● Full-time position
● Monthly salary: PHP 30,000 - PHP 60,000 (depending on your experience & credentials)
