What You’ll Get to Do
The Shipping Loader/Unloader is focused on preparing our products for delivery and reports to the Production Manager. This role is perfect for an individual who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, is a team player and has excellent attendance.
Job responsibilities include:
Pull customer pick up orders and load on truck
Move packed doors and load trucks for delivery to customers.
Use a hand pallet and/or motorized pallet jack
Pull orders and prepare them for shipment which includes verifying orders before they are shipped (shipping address, quantity, etc.)
Reading written instructions and taking verbal directions
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under time constraints
Wear all personal protective equipment including hard hats, steel toe boots with metatarsals, safety glasses, ear plugs, Kevlar sleeves and long pants
Must be able to adhere to all safety protocol
Ability to read a tape measure to a 1/32”
Basic computer skills
Loading and unloading trailer correctly to ensure delivery of material in good condition
Maintain a safe and clean work area and assist with general housekeeping in the Shipping Department
What We Are Looking For
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to read, understand, and communicate
Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required
Work performed inside a production environment
Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted
Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor
Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high
The plant facility is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
