Role Description The Security Professional role is a full-time remote position responsible for safeguarding digital and physical assets for assigned clients or internal operations. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring security systems and alerts, identifying potential threats, and responding to incidents in accordance with established protocols. The role involves conducting security assessments, documenting findings, and recommending improvements in cybersecurity, network security, and information security practices. The Security Professional will collaborate with internal teams and client contacts to communicate risks, share updates, and support security awareness initiatives. The position requires consistent reporting, adherence to compliance requirements, and proactive participation in ongoing training to stay current with emerging threats and security technologies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong cybersecurity and information security skills, including familiarity with security frameworks, risk management, and incident response.
Candidates should possess network security skills, such as understanding firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure network architecture.
Candidates should possess physical security skills, including knowledge of access control, surveillance practices, and basic risk assessment for facilities.
Candidates should possess clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to document incidents, prepare reports, and explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent) and experience in security operations or related fields are beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment under pressure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to ethical and compliant security practices.
