Role Description The Home Tutor role at Tuition At your Home is a full-time hybrid position based in Gurugram, with a mix of in-person sessions at learners’ homes and some work-from-home online teaching. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with school curricula, assessing student understanding, and adjusting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs. The tutor will track progress, provide regular feedback to students and parents or guardians, and help learners prepare for tests and examinations. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of sessions, coordinating schedules, and using digital tools to support remote instruction when required.
Qualifications
Strong subject knowledge in relevant school-level disciplines (such as Mathematics, Science, English, or Social Studies) and ability to explain concepts clearly.
Demonstrated teaching, mentoring, or tutoring experience, with skill in adapting methods for different ages and learning styles.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and maintain professional relationships with families.
Ability to plan lessons, organize learning materials, and manage time and schedules efficiently across in-person and online sessions.
Comfort with basic digital tools and online teaching platforms to conduct remote classes when needed.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant academic field; formal teacher training or certifications are an advantage.
Responsible, punctual, and reliable, with a commitment to learner safety and a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Willingness to travel within Gurugram for home sessions and to work flexible hours based on student needs.
