Staff Engineer

This role is for a Staff Engineer who will provide technical leadership and mentorship within a fully remote team developing a virtual ABA therapy platform for autism. The primary duties include owning and evolving the architecture of the core platform, driving the migration to JavaScript and TypeScript, designing and extending ETL pipelines, and leading the integration of AI and ML models into the platform to enhance functionality and efficiency. The engineer will also play a key role in establishing engineering standards, conducting design reviews, and addressing systemic technical debt, while collaborating closely with product and clinical stakeholders to ensure the platform meets user needs.
Additionally, the role involves mentoring engineers, promoting a high standard for code quality and operational practices, and participating in large technical initiatives to scale and optimize the platform. The successful candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development, distributed systems, and data pipelines, with experience managing or working within growth-stage startups, and will be capable of balancing velocity with long-term sustainability.
