UK Accounts Team Lead

White Bull is looking for an experienced UK Accounting Team Lead to lead our UK accounting team and oversee the delivery of high-quality accounting services for UK-based clients.
This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on UK Accounting experience, team management exposure, and a solid understanding of UK bookkeeping, VAT, year-end accounts and client management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team handling day-to-day UK accounting and bookkeeping activities
Review accounting work and ensure accuracy, completeness and timely delivery
Manage and review year-end accounts for UK businesses
Handle and review VAT returns, bookkeeping and related compliance activities
Oversee AP, AR, bank reconciliations, ledgers and month-end activities
Review financial records and ensure accounts are prepared to the required standards
Manage client queries and maintain regular communication with UK clients
Understand client requirements and ensure timely delivery of agreed work
Allocate work across the team and monitor deadlines and productivity
Support team members with technical accounting issues and day-to-day challenges
Train, guide and develop team members to improve accounting quality and efficiency
Conduct quality checks and identify errors before client submission
Monitor client deliverables and ensure deadlines are consistently met
Help improve accounting processes, workflows and internal controls
Work closely with management on team performance, client requirements and process improvements
What We’re Looking For
Mandatory: Relevant UK Accounting experience
Strong hands-on experience in UK bookkeeping and accounting
Experience with UK year-end accounts
Good understanding of UK VAT
Previous experience managing, mentoring or leading an accounting team
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience with accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent or similar
Strong attention to detail and ability to review accounting work
Good communication and client-handling skills
Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities and deadlines
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
Comfortable working in a fast-paced accounting environment
Work Details
Position: UK Accounting Team Lead
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Work Mode: Work From Office
Working Hours: 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM IST
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Important
