We are on the lookout for a Compliance Manager to join the Global GRC team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences in our office in Berlin.
The Compliance Manager is part of the Global GRC team in Berlin, overseeing the compliance management system across Delivery Hero Group. Responsibilities include developing policies, conducting risk assessments, delivering compliance awareness programmes and driving continuous monitoring and improvement. The role focuses on key compliance areas: ethical conduct, international economic sanctions screening, human rights due diligence, anti-bribery and corruption controls, internal investigations and policy framework maintenance. The officer serves as a deputy to the Global Head of Compliance, and represents the latter towards internal and external stakeholders. In addition he/she advises senior stakeholders, leads a compliance team in Berlin, provides expert guidance and applies a risk-based approach whilst maintaining high ethical standards.
Lead the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of the group compliance framework, including Policies & Procedures, Compliance Management System (CMS), Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, International Economic Sanctions, and other key compliance policies, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulatory requirements.
Oversee and strengthen the group's financial crime and compliance control environment by conducting compliance risk assessments, evaluating the effectiveness of controls, identifying improvement opportunities, and partnering with business stakeholders to implement risk-based enhancements.
Drive compliance monitoring, testing, and assurance activities across the group, identifying compliance gaps, recommending remediation actions, supporting corrective action implementation, and reporting findings, risks, and progress to senior management and key stakeholders.
Serve as the group subject matter expert for key regulatory compliance topics, including Anti-Bribery & Corruption, International Economic Sanctions, Human Rights Violations and related requirements, proactively advising stakeholders on regulatory developments, industry trends, enforcement actions, and business impacts.
Provide trusted, risk-based compliance advisory support and stakeholder engagement, acting as the primary contact for complex compliance inquiries, delivering training and awareness programs, fostering a strong culture of integrity and accountability, and influencing senior leaders to strengthen compliance outcomes.
Lead complex compliance investigations and strategic compliance initiatives, including whistleblower cases, internal investigations, compliance reviews, and the resolution of sensitive matters, while contributing to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the group’s compliance programme.
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related discipline, with 7+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or related functions, preferably within international and fast-paced environments.
Experience in people management, including leading and developing small teams.
Strong expertise in compliance frameworks, including Anti-Bribery & Corruption, International Economic Sanctions, CSRD, and other regulatory and governance requirements.
Demonstrated experience leading compliance programs and managing complex compliance matters independently, from risk assessment and policy implementation to remediation and issue resolution.
Strong analytical, investigative, and risk management capabilities, with experience conducting or overseeing investigations, assessing compliance risks, and driving effective remediation actions.
Proven ability to engage, influence, and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and leadership teams, providing practical, business-focused compliance guidance and recommendations.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly, manage competing priorities, work independently in dynamic environments, and maintain a proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused approach.
Fluency in English; proficiency in German is desirable.
