Role Description The Area Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing elevator and escalator operations within an assigned territory. This position manages day-to-day activities including planning and monitoring installation and maintenance work, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and meeting service quality and performance targets. The Area Manager leads and supports field teams, coordinates resources, and resolves operational issues to maintain high customer satisfaction. The role involves regular customer interactions, performance reporting, budgeting support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and growth in the area. The Area Manager is also expected to identify business opportunities, implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong leadership and people management skills, including team coordination, performance monitoring, and the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Candidates should possess solid operational and project management skills, such as planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and problem-solving in a field service or technical environment.
Candidates should possess customer relationship and communication skills, including the ability to handle escalations, negotiate solutions, and present information clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should possess analytical and organizational skills, including data-driven decision-making, reporting, and attention to detail for compliance and quality assurance.
Experience in the elevator, escalator, construction, or broader infrastructure/engineering industry is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field is preferred; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site across the Bengaluru area, with flexibility to travel within the region as required.
